World War II veteran given ‘best Christmas present’ by stranger at grocery store


A easy act of kindness by a lady at a grocery retailer in Florida over the weekend had a World Warfare II veteran gushing he acquired the “greatest Christmas current” ever.

George Seney Jr. informed FOX35 Orlando he was in line at a Publix in New Smyrna Seashore when the lady came to visit to him and thanked him for his service.

“The woman on the top of the road observed I used to be a World Struggle II veteran so she comes over and thanks me for my service and gave me an enormous hug and stated, ‘I would like you to have a Merry Christmas,’ and she or he put one thing in my hand,” he stated.

Seney Jr., who served within the Coast Guard through the struggle, realized when he seemed down at his hand the lady handed him $50.

“I rolled it up and I went again to the woman, I stated, ‘You made a mistake, that’s an excessive amount of cash.’ She says, ‘No, I would like you to have a Merry Christmas,’” he advised FOX35. “After I began fascinated with it, I stated, ‘What a gesture.’”
