WILLOUGHBY, Ohio – A Willoughby police officer on Wednesday thwarted three suspects’ try and rob a credit score union with an assault rifle, police stated.

Nobody was harmed within the tried theft that occurred simply earlier than 10 a.m. at WES Credit score Union on Clark Avenue at Second Road, police stated in a information launch.

Two suspects have been arrested once they ran from the credit score union, and a 3rd was taken into custody when he was noticed close by, police stated.

Arvis Williams, 20, of Cleveland, Melvin Hill, 20, of Cleveland, and a sixteen-yr-previous Cleveland Heights boy are charged with aggravated theft and possessing legal instruments, police stated.

Williams and Hill are being held on $500,000 bond on the Lake County Jail. They’re scheduled to seem at preliminary hearings Oct. 19 in Willoughby Municipal Courtroom, data present.
