Police arrested three males who smashed greater than forty headstones and spray-painted racial slurs on different graves at a Queens cemetery final summer time, police stated.
Bruno Camacho, 22, Mark Barrancos and Edward Evseev, each 21, have been arrested Monday and slapped with hate-crime expenses and different counts for the Aug. 15 vandalism spree on the Cypress Hills Cemetery in Glendale.
The trio toppled over forty of the headstones and destroyed the marble statues adorning at the very least 15 mausoleums.
The lads used pink and purple spray paint to write down offensive phrases on many headstones that had Asian names on them, police stated.
On one gravestone engraved with the final identify “CHEW,” the lads wrote beneath, “This d–okay yo.”
Different headstones that included all Asian writing have been tagged with the phrases like, “F–okay Jackie Chan,” and “Ching Chong”
The lads additionally wrote on different stones phrases like “N—er,” “I hate sand N—ers,” and “F–okay NYPD.”
Evseev, Barrancos and Camacho are charged with housebreaking as a hate crime, felony mischief as a hate crime, cemetery desecration, aggravated harassment and felony trespass.
