(CNN) — One US service member was killed and 6 different US crew members have been injured in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan’s Logar province Friday night, in line with a press release from the NATO-led coalition in that nation, Operation Resolute Help.
Logar province is simply south of Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul.
The six US crew members injured within the crash are receiving medical remedy.
The assertion stated the crash was not a results of enemy motion and its circumstances are being investigated.
“We have now full accountability of all personnel and the crash website has been secured,” the assertion provides.
“We’re deeply saddened by the lack of our comrade,” stated Military Gen. John Nicholson, Resolute Help commander.
“On behalf of all of Resolute Help, our heartfelt sympathies exit to the households and buddies of our fallen comrade and people injured on this unlucky occasion.”
