BOSTON — Officers say a world United Airways flight was diverted resulting from studies of smoke and has landed safely in Boston.
The Massachusetts Port Authority says no accidents have been reported after the aircraft landed with out incident at Logan Worldwide Airport on Sunday afternoon.
United Airways spokesman Charlie Hobart says the plane was heading to Washington Dulles Worldwide Airport from Munich. The reported smoke seems to have originated within the galley of the aircraft, the place meals is cooked and ready.
Hobart says passengers remained of their seats whereas emergency crews got here on board to assist decide the reason for the smoke. They have been then deplaned. Hobart says it’s not but clear if there was a fireplace on the aircraft.
