CLEVELAND, Ohio — Martial music changed Christmas carols and sounds of the season at Tower Metropolis Middle on Saturday afternoon for a vacation salute to the army organized by the Cleveland Grays.
An honor guard from the Grays and members of the armed forces joined Tower Metropolis’s in style Fairy Godmother and Toy Soldier — who holds the honorary rank of main — for the half-hour occasion.
Included was a set occasion for “Troopers & Socks,” with donations going to native homeless shelters, veterans organizations and deployed service members.
The vacation salute was the primary organized by the Cleveland Grays, who’re marking their one hundred and eightieth anniversary.
