NYC pizzeria, JAY-Z team up to aid Puerto Rico, Mexico

A Manhattan pizzeria has joined forces with rapper JAY-Z to offer hurricane aid provides to onerous-hit Puerto Rico and Mexico.

Brooklyn Councilman Robert Cornegy Jr. (D-Bedford-Stuyvesant) was among the many volunteers loading packing containers of bathroom paper, water bottles and diapers right into a 17-foot truck parked outdoors Champion Pizza in Greenwich Village Friday.

The provides can be flown to the storm-devastated areas on a cargo aircraft chartered by JAY-Z’s music-streaming firm TIDAL.

“That is what we do when there’s a disaster,” Cornegy Jr. stated. “That is how we present love.”

Hakki Akdeniz, 37, proprietor of Champion Pizza, stated he was moved to assist after listening to from a number of buddies in Puerto Rico.

“They’re actually struggling,” Akdeniz stated.
