Mike Missanelli, radio host, loses TV gig over sexist comment

PHILADELPHIA — A Philadelphia sports activities radio character says he misplaced a weekly tv gig after saying a feminine announcer calling an NFL recreation “sounds unnatural.”

Mike Missanelli stated on his radio present that he was fired from “Sports activities Sunday” on WPVI, Philadelphia’s ABC station.

He says it is as a result of on Tuesday he questioned why ESPN was utilizing Beth Mowins to do play-by-play on ESPN’s Monday Night time Soccer double-header.

He says he has nobody responsible however himself and calls it a “harsh outcome.”

The firing comes the identical week Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton made sexist feedback to a feminine reporter. When a Charlotte newspaper reporter requested Newton a few vast receiver’s route operating, Newton laughed and stated, “it is humorous to listen to a feminine speak about routes.” He has apologized.
