A straphanger tumbled onto the tracks on the 96th Road subway station Friday afternoon — and miraculously survived being run over by a practice, authorities and witnesses stated.
The person, fifty six, fell onto the northbound tracks of the B/C practice at about 2:forty four p.m. simply because the practice was approaching the station, witnesses stated. He landed within the monitor nicely, and the practice ran over him, however he was not struck.
Witnesses within the station stated they thought the person was lifeless till he began yelling for assist.
“Everybody was very involved,” stated a station employee.
A, B, C, and D trains have been delayed through the rescue.
Emergency personnel took the person to St. Luke’s Hospital with accidents that aren’t believed to be life threatening.
