Jewelry store targeted in recent hate crimes

An Higher East Aspect jewellery retailer was the goal of two current hate crimes, police and the proprietor say.

Travers Jewelers on Madison Avenue close to 76th Road acquired a letter Oct. four that learn, “Make America Nice Once more, Judenraus, N—–s and F—–s burn in hell.” It was accompanied by an image of a Nazi flag.

The incident was not reported to cops till Sunday afternoon, when a receipt sticker with a swastika drawn on it was found on the shop window.

Store proprietor Sam Kassin, sixty eight attributed the act to “Trump” and “all this anti-Semitic stuff.”

He stated the suspect was caught on digital camera Saturday night time.

Kassin described the suspect as “a grey-haired fellow, type of hunched over, appeared to be in his 70s or 80s.”

On why his retailer may need been focused, Kassin stated, “Nicely, we’re closed on Saturdays,” referring to the Jewish Sabbath.

The NYPD Hate Crimes unit is at present investigating.
