Inmate who escaped from jail captured trying to cross into Mexico

An inmate who escaped from a West Virginia jail was captured Sunday whereas making an attempt to make it to Mexico.

Todd Wayne Boyes, forty four, was stopped at four a.m. as he tried to cross the Rio Grande from Laredo, Tex., West Virginia Division of Army Affairs & Public Security reported.

U.S. Customs and Border Safety caught Boyes about 1,500 miles from Charleston’s South Central Regional Jail, from which he escaped.

It’s unclear how Boyes made all of it the best way to Texas.

Jail employees didn’t know escaped inmate was lacking for 2 days

The forty four-yr-previous walked out of South Central Regional Jail in Charleston, W. Va., on Wednesday.

Boyes walked out of the jail Wednesday sporting khaki pants, white sneakers and a darkish-coloured pullover — however he wasn’t reported lacking for 2 days.

The Ohio native was scheduled to be sentenced Friday for a carjacking and automotive chase by which a cop was injured.

4 officers have been suspended following his escape, WSAZ-TV reviews.
