Former Trump Aide Pleads Guilty in Mueller Probe


WASHINGTON (AP) — A former marketing campaign aide to President Donald Trump has pleaded responsible to mendacity to federal brokers working for particular counsel Robert Mueller as a part of his probe into attainable coordination between the Trump marketing campaign and Russia.

George Papadopoulos pleaded responsible on Oct. 5 to at least one rely of mendacity to FBI brokers concerning the nature of his interactions with “overseas nationals” who he thought had shut connections to senior Russian authorities officers. The plea was unsealed Monday.

Papadopoulos is the primary individual to face felony costs that cite interactions between Trump marketing campaign associates and Russian intermediaries through the 2016 presidential marketing campaign.

Papadopoulos was a member of the marketing campaign’s overseas coverage staff. However Trump aides have stated he performed a restricted position within the marketing campaign and no entry to Trump.
