Fond memories of Pablo Picasso from his muse Francoise Gilot


Françoise Gilot, ninety five, was 21 when she turned the muse of Pablo Picasso, who was forty years her senior.

However her reminiscences made her smile on the French Institute, the place she and Sylvie Vautier mentioned Vautier’s new e-book, “Picasso/Picault, Picault/Picasso: A Magic Second in Vallauris, 1948-1953.”

When author Gregory Speck requested if Pablo was as nice a lover as he was an artist, Gilot replied, “He was a volcanic pressure of nature, and that’s how we produced our two youngsters: Paloma, who’s a famend designer; and Claude, who appears identical to his father, sitting beside me right here!”
