Fifth Baltimore officer pleads guilty in task force scandal


A fifth Baltimore police officer accused in a gun process drive conspiracy has pleaded responsible.

Federal prosecutors say in a information launch that forty nine-yr-previous Sgt. Thomas Allers pleaded responsible on Wednesday to racketeering conspiracy and racketeering offenses, together with 9 robberies.

Allers is the previous head of the Gun Hint Activity Pressure. Eight members of that unit have been indicted on costs that embrace theft, extortion, and promoting medicine seized throughout police operations.
