ELYRIA, Ohio — An Elyria man is accused of threatening to shoot a Speedway cashier throughout a theft, police stated.
Dale Bugg Jr., fifty four, is charged with aggravated theft within the Sept. 28 incident on the Speedway on East Broad Road close to South Abbe Street, Elyria Municipal Courtroom data present.
Bugg turned himself in Friday morning on the Elyria Police Division, based on a police report.
He’s scheduled to seem in courtroom Tuesday for a preliminary listening to, data present.
Nobody was harm within the theft, police stated.
Bugg walked into the fuel station shortly earlier than 1:30 a.m. and received a pack of gum. He walked to the counter and handed cash to a cashier, the report says.
When the cashier opened the register, Bugg reached for his waistband and stated he had a gun. The cashier didn’t see a gun, police stated.
Bugg threatened to shoot the cashier and advised him to again away from the register. He grabbed $10 and $20 payments from the register earlier than he ran out of the shop, police stated.
Elyria police didn’t say how they recognized Bugg as a suspect within the theft earlier than they obtained a warrant for his arrest. A police spokesman didn’t instantly reply to a request for extra info.
