LA PUENTE, Calif. (AP) — An eighty three-yr-previous man ended a police standoff that lasted for hours when he pushed a suspected burglar off his roof in La Puente.
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Division officers say the male suspect was leaping from rooftop to rooftop on Tuesday, prompting disaster negotiators to reply. The suspect refused to return down after negotiators and deputies issued instructions.
Sgt. Joseph Morales tells the Los Angeles Occasions that the aged resident turned uninterested in the state of affairs that lasted about 5 hours. The person climbed onto the roof and pushed the suspect off.
Authorities inform KABC-TV that the suspect was taken into custody and was admitted to a hospital for a psychological analysis. It is unclear if the suspect was injured.
