A drunk driver has been charged with tried homicide after operating over a 14-yr-previous skateboarder in a Lengthy Island strip mall parking zone, police stated Friday.
Luis DeJesus, forty two, was within the rear parking zone of the strip mall in West Hempstead when he allegedly ran over the skateboarding teen together with his 2002 Dodge Caravan, trapping him beneath the car, in accordance with cops.
Members of the Franklin Sq. Hearth Division raced over and freed the teenager. He was taken to an space hospital in critical situation with a head wound and inner accidents.
Nassau County cops charged DeJesus, who’s homeless, with tried homicide, drunk driving and vehicular assault, officers stated. His arraignment was pending Saturday.
