Cuyahoga County Airport runway expansion gets federal grant


WASHINGTON – The Cuyahoga County airport has been awarded a $719,196 grant from the U.S. Division of Transportation to rehabilitate its runway, in response to the workplace of Bainbridge Township GOP Rep. Dave Joyce.

The airport is within the midst of a multi-yr venture to increase its runway to evolve with federal airport security laws. The challenge’s complete value is estimated at $forty million, most of which can come from the Federal Aviation Administration.

The airport is situated in each Cuyahoga and Lake Counties, straddling Richmond Heights, Highland Heights, and Willoughby Hills. It primarily serves leisure and company planes.
