Cornell offering free semester to Puerto Rican students impacted by Maria

ITHACA, N.Y. — Cornell College is providing a free semester of research for as much as fifty eight college students from Puerto Rico’s most important public college system.

The College of Puerto Rico is working at partial power because the island recovers from Hurricane Maria.

Cornell President Martha Pollack says the supply of free tuition, room and board this spring is a means to assist college students and college officers in Puerto Rico throughout a troublesome time.

Certified college students can take Cornell programs, earn credit, stay with Cornell college students and obtain an official Cornell transcript.

College students from Puerto Rico might be liable for transportation prices, books and dwelling bills comparable to laundry and off-campus meals.
