Arrest made in attack on Hoke County teacher

RAEFORD, North Carolina (WTVD) —

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Workplace has made an arrest in reference to the brutal assault of a instructor at West Hoke Elementary Faculty on Monday.

The Hoke County Sheriff’s Workplace stated Wednesday night time that it had recognized the suspect within the assault as Michael Lee Nivens, 34.

Nivens is being charged with tried first-diploma homicide and theft with a harmful weapon.

He was arrested Thursday. He’s being held on $2 million bond.
